Go to your local gym if you are a member. When you are there, you can easily do a complete body workout with
just a few machines. If you are like me, with no access to a local gym, you can work out other exercise
options.
Biking Bike riding is a great exercise for losing weight, especially if you are not in a
good shape to start with. If you start out with a relatively flat route and short distances, it can be easy to
start.
You can work up your way to more strenuous rides. Make sure though, that you are outfitted properly with an
appropriate bike and other equipments. You can visit your local bike shop for help and advice.
Swimming Swimming is another excellent choice among great weightloss exercises. It is
relatively easy on the body, yet provides an excellent workout, especially if you are a novice at swimming. You
should swim in a pool with at least one lifeguard on duty.
This is an easy exercise too (if you can swim)! Do it 3 times per week for 20 to 25 minutes per session is all
it takes to become healthy and lose a few pounds of fats.
The best approach to swimming is start real slow. Focus on a couple of strokes you know how to do already and
add new styles as your conditioning improves.
If you do not know how to swim, check out your local yellow pages, the Internet or ask around to find out about
swimming lessons. You can get swimming lessons pretty cheaply at many places.
Running
Among the popular weightloss exercises, running is a great way to lose weight
and get
in shape, but it is harder on your body than swimming or riding a bike.
Many people start running because they want to lose weight. Being one of the more vigorous exercises out there,
running is an extremely efficient way to burn calories and drop pounds. For every mile of running, a 150-pound
person will burn approximately 100 calories.
If you want to lose weight, you should probably start out with one of the other exercises until you get into
better shape. Keep in mind that biking and running both work the legs, but they do work different primary
muscles.
