Vegetarian Weight Loss Meal
So long as you eat less and exercise more, your weight will not be a problem. Is this
true? Well not quite!
It has been scientifically proven that a vegetarian weight
loss meal can keep your weight down whereas meat foods put it on. What you eat does matter. With so
many claims of weight loss pills, herbs, juices, exercise machines and exercises programs - which one really works
and how to find those that work?
The US FDA has warned against the effectiveness of a number of weight loss products that are in the market.
These include starch or fat blockers, weight loss chewing gum and body wraps.
By contrast, vegetarians eat vegetarian weight loss meals
and they know why they eat it.
They save money and lose weight. Inherently, vegetarian food production is cheaper than that of meat. This is
because the vegetarian food production cycle is shorter compared to that of growing animals. As a matter of
fact, you do not even need special low calorie vegetarian weight loss
recipes to lose weight because a vegetarian weight loss meal is itself a recipe to weight
loss.
Consider the latest British scientific research based on a study of 22,000 people who were followed over a
period of five years. All participants put on weight over that time. However, meat eaters who changed to a
vegetarian diet gained the least weight. Prof Tim Keys, who led this study on behalf of University of Oxford and
Cancer Research UK, published interesting results in the Journal of Obesity.
He said, contrary to popular views that a diet low in carbohydrates and high in protein keeps weight down, we
found that the lowest weight gain came in people with high intake of carbohydrates and low intake of protein.
The participants comprising fish eaters, meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans gained an average of 2 kilogram
over the 5 years and none of them were overweight.
The study also found that those who were physically more active gained less weight than those who did not. No
surprises there. Here, the simple message is, whatever you eat, physical activity contribute to weight loss and
good health.
A balanced vegetarian weight loss meal or vegan diet is good for your health. Your
focus may be just to lose weight but you can see that its achievement is connected to a holistic picture, including
your health and that of the world we live in. As such, you could say that many vegetarians and vegans are socially
responsible eaters.
Hopefully that insight will provide you with some motivation to become a vegetarian or vegan. Motivation is
everything and the evidence is in the effectiveness of vegetarian
diet for weight loss.
