Weightloss Recipes

To most people losing weight can be rather boring. But with right weightloss recipes, it doesn't have to be that way. You can focus on colorful and bright meals and make a world of difference.

What does this means?

What you do is to make sure that your plate reflects a range of color and you'll naturally create more healthy fat lose diets and balanced menus.

Counting calories takes time and patience and not everyone like it, not me. However, anyone can assess the colors on your plate and it only takes an instant.

Why is it so or in particular what has is color to do with weightloss recipes? We all know that many caloric and fatty foods, such as dairy products and startchy carbs, are brown or beige. When there are too many of these drab colors on your plate, you can be sure that weight gain is almost certain.

That's because these beige foods often are high in calories and can leave you feeling hungry later. A cup of brown or beige beans can be over 200 calories. Compare to a cup of red vegetables which is under a hundred calorie! See article on vegetarian for weight loss.

Try adding fresh greens, bright yellow-orange, deep purple-reds to your meal, and water. The content nutrient go up, while the calories come down! On top of that, you will get more enjoyment from eating when there's a variety of flavors and colors on your plate.

I know these ideas may sound whimsical but they are grounded in scientific fact. Dr David Heber, renowned nutritional expert from University of California, Los Angeles established the role of color in his book, "What Color is Your Diet?"

So, the next time you open your refrigerator, think colorfully. And remember not to match but to mix!
